A charming detour, Monster Lab is a fantastically tongue-in-cheek adventure that has just enough charm in its gameplay to overshadow some lacklustre controls.

An expansive and engaging experience, Persona 4 is quirky, original, and innovative enough to set it apart from an army of mediocre RPGs. With an amazing cast of characters and fantastical game world, P4 is an experience any role-playing aficionado shouldn't miss!

Animal Crossing: City Folk is cut from the same cloth as the first two titles in the series, meaning it's fun, laid-back, and easy to play in short spurts. However, the lack of change and truly innovative gameplay features means it won't attract folks who hated the series or have been burnt out on co-mingling with talking fauna.

Age of Empire fans beware: while this game is certainly the best in the series, it also closely resembles the previous iteration, making it feel less like a history lesson and more like deja vu. Age of Empires: Mythologies is the latest instalment in the DS's Age of Empires games, following up the entertaining and well-received AOE: The Age of Kings. And while there are a number of differences between these two titles, on the whole this game is pretty similar to its predecessor, which is both a blessing and a curse.

An uneven experience through and through, The Last Remnant presents itself with an innovative "East-meets-West" that suffers from unfortunate poor execution. Rather than reaching the high bar set by the company's more established efforts, The Last Remnant doesn't come close to replicating the kind of thrilling and memorable RPG experience that franchises like Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger offered. It's a shame, especially considering the so-so Infinite Undiscovery, but the silver lining is that Square Enix has an opportunity to get back to form with the much anticipated Final Fantasy and Star Ocean instalments it has coming up soon.

While the game's inherent charm is as strong as it ever was, repetitive games and dated visuals make TV Party an exercise in monotony.

I can't say it any clearer — this is the best version of Street Fighter II that fighting game fans are ever going to get.

Friends don't let friends play Need for Speed: Undercover. Mediocre racing and tacky styling leave it stuck in neutral, gunning its engine while going absolutely nowhere. While a long campaign mode and intriguing new experience system get the pistons pumping, everything grinds to a halt when the rubber hits the road in the worst instalment of the series in recent memory. It's the video game equivalent of test driving a brand new Lamborghini only to have the engine overheat and the tires go flat as soon as you get on the freeway. Too bad the gaming equivalent of AAA doesn't exist; that way, if you're unlucky enough to buy this game, you could get a little roadside assistance.

Moto GP 08 is the official game for the Grand Prix motorcycle road race, something that will definitely appeal to fans of real life racing, with detailed courses modelled after the real ones used in Gran Prix racing. Racing aficionados and newcomers alike are sure to be charmed by this in-depth yet user-friendly racing title.

It's tough to teach an old dog new tricks — Sonic Unleashed tries to introduce new ideas with daytime and evening levels that switch between speedy platform and bulky action, but only the former has any bite. Sonic doesn't need to experiment, he just needs a good dose of the nostalgic design that makes up half of this mediocre game.
