If you can tolerate endlessly replaying the same levels just to progress, light RPG elements like collecting equipment, acquiring skills, and upgrading pilot and mobile suit levels might make up for some aggravation, but even faithful fans of Gundam and Dynasty Warriors alike won't find much in the way of lasting excitement here.

Eternal Sonata is still a solid role-playing game that is built around an innovative and interesting story. There's plenty of fun to be had and while it may not redefine the role-playing genre, it does a mighty fine job of teasing the boundaries. Hopefully Namco Bandai has the sense to carry this idea forward, and perhaps, for the next title, we could explore the underworld playing as Mozart.

Beyond its online career mode, there's not much that leads Juiced 2 to stand out from the pack. It's an unassuming street racer with few flaws, but at the same time, few outstanding qualities. Even the visuals don't inspire much, leaving Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights cold by morning.

Spider-Man: Friend or Foe is a very simple game aimed at the younger audience with low difficulty and repetitive action. For older gamers and those who expect a little more from their games than a shallow beat 'em up experience might want to look elsewhere for their superhero action.

All in all, PGR 4 is enjoyable enough that it warrants a look but it just doesn't play to its strengths well enough to stand toe-to-toe with the current champions of the next-generation racing world.

Visually, the game already looks phenomenal, and is far, far more detailed than the already stunning Oblivion. Bethesda is promising virtually identical graphics and performance between the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC versions as well as simultaneous launch dates. Late 2008 is a long way off...but we have a hunch that Fallout 3 is one game worth waiting for.

Ace Combat 6 lays out an impressive hand with its undeniable quality. The only shortcoming is the intimidating visage, particularly if you're using the Ace Edge flight stick.

Whether you buy Guitar Hero 3 will depend on whether you already invested in Guitar Hero 2 for the Xbox 360. If you did, this is a no-brainer. Go buy GH3 the minute it hits store shelves -- you will not be disappointed. However, if you haven't yet taken the plunge, you might want to wait until Rock Band comes out to see before you make your decision. Either way, this is the best Guitar Hero ever made and you will not be disappointed if you're a fan of the franchise.

All in all, The Simpsons Game is a good effort, but some glaring flaws really hold it back. If you can get around the wonky camera and less than stellar controls, you're in for some genuine laughs, but you'll probably end up feeling more frustrated than anything else.

The enormity of the game will probably turn off gamers expecting a fast-paced action title but remember that an assassin's greatest tool is patience. Approach this game with that frame of mind and you will be rewarded with one of the best gaming experiences around.

Is Rock Band better than Guitar Hero III? The answer will vary and really, it's all about personal taste. Rock Band is probably not the right choice for someone who just wants to shred by themselves in the spotlight. While personal glory is great, we like Rock Band's emphasis on collaboration, having a great time with friends and feeling like an actual musician.
