There's more than enough to like about The Darkness to forgive its notable flaws. It attempts to tread new ground in a tired old genre, which just proves that innovation is still worth something these days.

If you like you video games big, violent and dumb, there's a lot of enjoyment to be had from Earth Defence Force 2017.

Stuntman: Ignition isn't without it's flaws, but there are just enough thrills and spills -- especially in multiplayer -- to make it worthy of purchase.

Skate has some awesome potential, but they're not at that stage yet. We're willing to bet, that EA will take the skate series and make it better the next time around, especially since they have a good foundation in place. Just keep your fingers crossed that they don't pump one out every year like Madden, which will seriously slow down the progression of gameplay improvements.

All in all, PGR 4 is enjoyable enough that it warrants a look but it just doesn't play to its strengths well enough to stand toe-to-toe with the current champions of the next-generation racing world.

Off the Rails does a great job in appealing to a younger crowd, which is encouraging for those looking for a good holiday gift; however, its cheesy style is lost on anyone over the age of 12.

Conan might've been elevated to the Mount Olympus-like heights that a certain other warrior has achieved had it not been for the disjointed narrative and dispassionate vocal performances.

All in all, TimeShift is an enjoyable first-person shooter but it probably won't make you forget about the titles that it so liberally borrows from.

Turok is a solid enough shooter that won't wow you the way triple-A titles like Call of Duty 4 or BioShock will. But if you're looking for some solid action, Turok more than fits the bill.

It's a slick game, but nowhere near as good as what fans have been hoping for.

It may not be deep, but it sure as hell is fun.

For all its flaws, Legacy deserves recognition as a commendable and entertaining attempt at capturing the essence of Star Trek's grandiose combat.
