Skate has some awesome potential, but they're not at that stage yet. We're willing to bet, that EA will take the skate series and make it better the next time around, especially since they have a good foundation in place. Just keep your fingers crossed that they don't pump one out every year like Madden, which will seriously slow down the progression of gameplay improvements.

Troublesome oversights get in the way of enjoyment, such as the bizarre lack of a health meter, and the notion that tons of fast-moving metal can be brought to a screeching halt by straw-thin branches. These issues are all symptomatic of Fatal Inertia's crippling unwillingness to strike far enough out into new territory to find fresh rewards. However, Fatal Inertia does not sink to the bottom-of-the-barrel status, but neither does it ever manage to rise above merely average.

Spider-Man 3 isn't the travesty many people are making out, especially if you enjoyed the movie. Our advice is to ignore the online venom and give the game a chance.

Stuntman: Ignition isn't without it's flaws, but there are just enough thrills and spills -- especially in multiplayer -- to make it worthy of purchase.

This game is not for the faint of heart and should be reserved for those that enjoy repetitive battles and watching badly built sprites bumble across their television screen.

Even with the lack of a Crash mode and no online play, Burnout Dominator is a wise investment, even for the Burnout first-timer, especially with a $40 price tag.

While the game isn't principally bad, it doesn't take a step out of the conventional box or do anything out of the ordinary. Graphically, it's almost there but the gameplay felt like something I'd seen from multiple PS2 games in the past.

For series' veterans, Tomb Raider Anniversary is a fun trip down memory lane, complete with a few interesting additions and surprises. If you're new to the series, this is a great chance to experience one of the world's most famous video games with shiny new graphics.

At World's End delivers exactly what you'd expect from a movie licensed game: It's deep enough and features enough referential material to draw in the diehard fans of the source material but it isn't innovative or interesting enough to stand alone in the action genre. However, if you come in with lowered expectations, you just might have fun with it.

If you like you video games big, violent and dumb, there's a lot of enjoyment to be had from Earth Defence Force 2017.

Once the nostalgia buzz and/or movie hype has worn off, Transformers: The Game is a pretty average action title with nothing to take your breath away.
