Legendary is wounded by glitches, aged design philosophies, clunky shooting and agonising linearity, but its cinematic hook and variety of original enemies will keep you trudging along just to see the next unbelievable event.

Once the nostalgia buzz and/or movie hype has worn off, Transformers: The Game is a pretty average action title with nothing to take your breath away.

If you can tolerate endlessly replaying the same levels just to progress, light RPG elements like collecting equipment, acquiring skills, and upgrading pilot and mobile suit levels might make up for some aggravation, but even faithful fans of Gundam and Dynasty Warriors alike won't find much in the way of lasting excitement here.

When it comes down to it, Warriors Orochi is more a mediocre tribute to past games than a fresh experience. Unimpressive graphics, a mundane fighting system, and a slate of characters borrowed from other titles leaves Warriors Orochi a stale appetiser left on the plate as you wait for the Dynasty Warriors six main course.

It may be the best Superman game so far, but that's not saying much.

Adventure's six party games and puzzle-based challenge mode are the best this game has to offer. With multiple players, Adventure flies in the face of its weak story mode and becomes a genuinely fun experience.

A handful of memorable visions might linger in the mind's eye after Alone in the Dark's credits roll for the last time, but you'll still need supernatural patience to make it all the way to the feeble cliffhanger ending.

Dedicated (read: sadistic) gamers willing to invest the time necessary to figure out the controls might get a kick out of this one, but the convoluted controls will turn off most players.

Let this middling tennis game be a lesson to why you shouldn't port a PSP game to the Xbox 360.

Madden NFL '08 proves once again that the Wii is ill suited to this kind of video game. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions run rings around it.

It might be a good rental if your seven year old has a weekend slumber-party or something but don't waste anything more than a couple of bucks on this one.
