To call it Call of Duty 4 with a World War II skin is insulting to Treyarch because World at War is so much more than that. It's a great follow up to Modern Warfare and proves that World War II is still a viscerally charged conflict to live through. The single-player campaign is a tad short and it isn't as polished as Modern Warfare's but the action is intense, there are plenty of thrills and the multiplayer looks like it will be just as awesome. I'm especially looking forward to the Nazi Zombies mode.

Spore is a good game held back from greatness by a few flaws and gameplay mechanics that won't appeal to everyone. But there is plenty to like about the game and if you dig its particular style of open-ended gameplay, you'll definitely enjoy yourself.

Space Siege must have seemed a good idea on the drawing board but the execution definitely leaves something to be desired. It had so much potential; just imagine the loot and skills they could have built into the game! Unfortunately, Gas Powered Games forget all the elements that make the games in this genre so damn fun and addictive. It's really a shame because had they done it right, it would have made the wait for Diablo III that much more bearable. But as it stands, this is without a doubt the worst addition to the Siege series yet.

War Front: Turning Point has added itself to an already bloated genre, but has developed its own little niche by following the lead of the Red Alert series — packaging alternative-history with some quirky units. The result is a game that has enough personality to stand above the crowd, at least until its audience tires of its regurgitated gameplay mechanics.
