The BDP-S500 is a powerful Blu-ray player, geared towards enthusiasts. Its high-end audio capabilities is best suited to a system that already has high quality audio products, although even on its own it's a great device.

The BDP-S300 is an excellent value Blu-ray player, delivering a great feature list for a much more affordable price than most advanced units.

It's not the cheapest on the market, but the Panasonic DMP-BD10A should satisfy anyone looking for high quality high definition playback.

While the HD-XE1 is without a doubt the best HD-DVD player on the Australian market, it's also the most expensive. Non-enthusiasts may find the HD-XE1's asking price a little high, and ultimately may be better served by a more affordable model.

This is the product to watch for Blu-ray enthusiasts. It's not cheap, but the exceptional quality of its features and functionality easily justify its price.
