The F40 is a mid-range unit, with an excellent user interface and clear maps. The included hands-free module only sweetens the deal.

The ONE XL adds a larger display and a new design to an already outstanding GPS unit. At this price, it's the best value for money on the market and combines excellent navigation and an outstanding user experience.

The 330 Auto Navigation is Nokia's first stand-alone GPS. The result is a solid, but not outstanding unit that is let down by an impractical address search method.

The gogo CM310 is a very solid navigation device, even though its multimedia features aren't outstanding. But a fast, distinctive interface, an included 1GB SD card and USB card reader and the presence of turning "blinkers" differentiate the CM310 from the crowd.

The S102 comes at a good price, but although the navigational experience was solid, it just doesn't do enough to command a glowing rapport. There are plenty of better options available on the market.

The StreetPilot c510 is a solid budget offering, and has a few features that are usually reserved for more expensive models.

A larger screen enhances an already enticing package. The N60i is an excellent GPS, with a great user interface and quality maps.

The Navigator 7000 is outstanding for road safety thanks to its "Road Sense" subscription, but its navigational performance could be improved.

The MMP-401 is basically the MMP-501 in a smaller package and without the Bluetooth hands-free connectivity. It does a reasonable job for quite a good price.

If you can overlook the size and the rather basic entertainment features, this GPS does the job and for what it offers, the MMP-501 comes in at a very respectable price point compared with many other units on the market.

The nuvi 660 adds a larger display and Bluetooth hands-free calling to an already solid previous unit, but some small deficiencies still remain. Best of all though, the pricing difference between models is minimal, so the 660 is definitely worth the extra money.

If you are on a tight budget and don't require many advanced navigational options then the iCN 330 is for you.
