The BT-Q1000 does what it claims: it'll track your movements very accurately, as well as record places of interest at the press of a button, and map them on Google Earth. It can also be used for navigation when paired with a PDA or notebook computer and GPS software. However, its software interface will confuse the uninitiated.

The C720t is very similar to the successful C520, so it remains a great unit with plenty of features. Unfortunately, the geotagging feature is poorly implemented, so we're not convinced this is worth the extra cost over its little brother, though the included TMC cradle kit is ideal if you are planning to use the traffic feature.

The S90i is Navman's cream of the crop, and it is certainly a fine unit. The 2-megapixel camera adds flexibility for using NavPix.

The BlackBerry Curve 8310 adds GPS to an already enticing unit. Its only real drawbacks are the lack of Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.

For those who like the idea of practically carrying a mini-notebook in their pocket, the E90 Communicator is one of the most comprehensive available. It won't appeal to everyone but despite the lack of TV-out and fax features, it is the best of business phones.
