A sleek, slim design combined with the latest in features including the ability to transmit sound via a built-in FM transmitter, the compact nuvi 760 is definitely a winner.

The GO 720 is another fine unit from TomTom. It features a slim design, great maps and navigational performance, Bluetooth for handsfree calling and some great safety features.

The S300T is Navman’s best GPS yet. While the glide interface isn’t perfect, its ease of use is certainly appreciated. An excellent design, a clean map screen and clear voice instructions combined with a heap of extra features make this an excellent choice.

At this price, and with this feature set, the TomTom ONE blows away the competition.

The BlackBerry Curve 8310 adds GPS to an already enticing unit. Its only real drawbacks are the lack of Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.

If you don’t consider a QWERTY keyboard a necessity, then the E66 is one of the best smartphones on the market. It combines a stylish design with the latest features and it is a breeze to use.

The 6110 Navigator is the first mobile phone to be released with full turn-by-turn GPS navigation out of the box, and despite some small issues, it's an excellent experience on the whole.

The S90i is Navman's cream of the crop, and it is certainly a fine unit. The 2-megapixel camera adds flexibility for using NavPix.

The C720t is very similar to the successful C520, so it remains a great unit with plenty of features. Unfortunately, the geotagging feature is poorly implemented, so we're not convinced this is worth the extra cost over its little brother, though the included TMC cradle kit is ideal if you are planning to use the traffic feature.

The E71 is one of the most stylish smartphones on the market. If you can get by with a slightly small display and keyboard, this beast offers plenty of features and grunt.

The S80 is the third product in Navman's S-Series range and introduces text-to-speech technology to an otherwise largely similar unit to the S50.

The W760i is the first Walkman handset to be available on the Next G network. Although it doesn’t offer any outstanding features, the combination of a smooth design, excellent build quality and Sony Ericsson’s Walkman software makes this an excellent handset overall.
