The P1i is packed to the brim with features, and its only real downside is the unconventional keyboard, as well as an interface that will take some time to grasp. If you can get your head around each of them you're left with an excellent device on the whole.

If you’re purely after a phone for imaging, then the C905 will be right up your alley. While we’re still waiting for optical zoom, the photos it produces are pretty noteworthy for a camera phone. An excellent design and good build quality are slightly let down by a somewhat sluggish user interface and a proprietary headphone jack.

If you want a fully fledged GPS navigator, you are best off purchasing either a portable in-car unit or a handheld device with a larger screen. If you want to track your fitness data, then the HGE-100 may be worth a look.

The W760i is the first Walkman handset to be available on the Next G network. Although it doesn’t offer any outstanding features, the combination of a smooth design, excellent build quality and Sony Ericsson’s Walkman software makes this an excellent handset overall.

This is by far and away the best GPS unit on the market. It combines an excellent design with a fantastically easy to use menu system and features a whole range of extra offerings such as Bluetooth hands free, MP3 player and excellent text-to-speech technology. A must have.

The ONE XL adds a larger display and a new design to an already outstanding GPS unit. At this price, it's the best value for money on the market and combines excellent navigation and an outstanding user experience.

The ONE 3rd Edition adds an excellent safety feature to an already outstanding unit, though it's a shame battery life hasn't been improved. Regardless, it's definitely great value at this price.

The XL adds a larger display to the already fantastic ONE unit. The new EasyPort mount and TomTom’s Map Share feature make this an enticing unit.

The latest edition ONE features an even smaller design and an EasyPort mount, and supports TomTom’s Map Share feature. The ONE continues to set the standard for other GPS units to strive for.

While Tom Tom does get credit for trying with the Rider, there are some key flaws with this GPS solution that have to be overcome.

With an excellent map display, easy-to-use interface and clear audio instructions, the TomTom GO 300 has nearly all the features drivers need in a GPS system.
