The U8380 is an average phone with fairly standard features. It doesn't break any new ground, but then again, it doesn't have any major problems or issues.

The 6680 comes confidently recommended for any 3G user, although the unique button layout can be somewhat discomforting.

The K608i proves that 3G handsets don't have to be big and bulky. It comes recommended and has an array of fine features, but an uncomfortable keypad and small internal memory detract from the overall package.

If you can handle having a poor battery life and a slightly slow menu, the Samsung A801 offers a great Next G compatible phone with a stylish, slim design.

The U700 is a distinctive HSDPA capable phone. Beneath its flashy exterior is a more than capable handset that packs quite a punch in terms of features. If you can look past the sometimes frustrating controls, what remains is an excellent phone.

The TU550 does little to distinguish itself from its TU500 predecessor. While most of the old faults remain, it should nevertheless satisfy the majority of users; particularly those in remote locations. With that being said, there are plenty of competing models on the market that offer a superior performance.

The Viewty KU990 will suit anyone who wants to combine their camera and mobile phone into one product. From picture resolution to call quality, it performs its two primary functions with stunning proficiency. Highly recommended.

It's nice to see that LG has improved the navigation with a new jog wheel and the support for Telstra's Next G makes this phone a powerful handheld device. Still, some quirks remain, including the poor battery life. Functionality aside this is a very stylish looking phone that will keep the fashion conscious happy.

Nokia's 6288 performs well as a phone, has a great display and stylish design, however the slider does not feel sturdy.

If you want a slim, lightweight phone that can access Telstra's Next G content portal but is otherwise light on frills, the TU500 is a good candidate. Heavy multimedia users should look elsewhere.

The MOTORAZR maxx V6 is a solid choice if you are looking to upgrade to the Next-G network.

The Samsung A501 is a solid, but far from outstanding HSDPA-capable phone. While its compact size may be an advantage, outdated specifications in key areas mean that the A501 isn't able to fully immerse you in the Next G experience as it should.
