Optimised for mobile TV, the Samsung Widescreen is a solid, if not outstanding, introduction to what the future holds for mobile video content.

The F165 Country Phone doesn't really look appealing, but looks can be deceiving. In addition to claiming excellent reception in rural areas, the F165 has a sturdy rubber casing and is lightweight.

It's nice to see that LG has improved the navigation with a new jog wheel and the support for Telstra's Next G makes this phone a powerful handheld device. Still, some quirks remain, including the poor battery life. Functionality aside this is a very stylish looking phone that will keep the fashion conscious happy.

If you're looking for a high capacity, music-oriented phone and aren't fazed by some design and control issues then Nokia's N81 might be for you.

The i450 is solid but not outstanding. The touch-sensitive scroll wheel has the potential to become an excellent control method, but currently isn't responsive enough.

The i560 is a capable but not outstanding mobile phone. The lack of Wi-Fi may be a deal breaker for some, but the included GPS software and accessories are welcome additions.

The TU550 does little to distinguish itself from its TU500 predecessor. While most of the old faults remain, it should nevertheless satisfy the majority of users; particularly those in remote locations. With that being said, there are plenty of competing models on the market that offer a superior performance.

The K660i's Web shortcut keys are a nice touch. It's a solid but far from outstanding handset.

The F159 improves on its predecessor by adding assisted GPS and Telstra's TalkNow service.

The TU515 isn't outstanding, but at this price it's well worth a look.

The Z750i is a solid, but far from outstanding phone. Its 'Blue Tick' rating means it should appeal to those in rural areas but for the rest of us, there are certainly better choices not based on a design that's already a few months old.

The 8800 Arte is a stunning handset to look at, but its exuberant price means you don't get much bang for your buck.
