The proprietary headphone jacks and USB and Bluetooth 1.1 are a let down, however the A701 still remains a solid and well built handset with a good features list.

The Samsung A501 is a solid, but far from outstanding HSDPA-capable phone. While its compact size may be an advantage, outdated specifications in key areas mean that the A501 isn't able to fully immerse you in the Next G experience as it should.

If you can handle having a poor battery life and a slightly slow menu, the Samsung A801 offers a great Next G compatible phone with a stylish, slim design.

The U700 is a distinctive HSDPA capable phone. Beneath its flashy exterior is a more than capable handset that packs quite a punch in terms of features. If you can look past the sometimes frustrating controls, what remains is an excellent phone.

The A711 delivers faster speeds over the Next G network and an improved menu system, making it a slight improvement over its predecessor.

Optimised for mobile TV, the Samsung Widescreen is a solid, if not outstanding, introduction to what the future holds for mobile video content.

The A411 represents decent value for money, but don't expect this handset to provide rich multimedia, despite access to Telstra's Next G portal.

The F500 is a great example of a device that promises so much, yet ultimately fails to deliver. It's a nice idea, but in an already overpopulated mobile market, the F500 has too many flaws to make an impact.

If you want the fastest possible access to Telstra's Next G network, then the A811 is an excellent choice.

The A551 is a solid, but not outstanding mobile phone. It does a relatively basic job and access to the Next G services is notable, but there is nothing that sticks out about this handset.

The i450 is solid but not outstanding. The touch-sensitive scroll wheel has the potential to become an excellent control method, but currently isn't responsive enough.

The G800 is the cream of the crop when it comes to camera phones. Five megapixels, 3x optical zoom and face detect make this a handy imaging device to have in your pocket. Camera aside, the rest of the handset is solid, but not outstanding.
