The W980i is Sony Ericsson’s most stylish clamshell yet. A great combination of style and features, 8GB of memory and excellent headphones make this one of the best music handsets currently on the market.

Size does matter and the compact K610i is a welcome addition to the 3G market. It offers a solid list of features for a reasonable price, even if the display and camera are letdowns.

The K660i's Web shortcut keys are a nice touch. It's a solid but far from outstanding handset.

The W760i is the first Walkman handset to be available on the Next G network. Although it doesn’t offer any outstanding features, the combination of a smooth design, excellent build quality and Sony Ericsson’s Walkman software makes this an excellent handset overall.

If you overlook the large and bulky size, the W900i is definitely one of the best 3G handsets currently on the market. With excellent music functions, an impressive camera, quality display screen and user-friendly interface, the W900i is a true multimedia phone.

The K810i remains a great camera phone, but minimal improvements over its predecessor mean that it won't tempt current K800i owners to upgrade.

The W880i is quite simply an outstanding mobile phone. A lack of FM radio and small controls isn't enough to detract from the overall class and quality of this unit.

If you’re purely after a phone for imaging, then the C905 will be right up your alley. While we’re still waiting for optical zoom, the photos it produces are pretty noteworthy for a camera phone. An excellent design and good build quality are slightly let down by a somewhat sluggish user interface and a proprietary headphone jack.

An excellent music phone thanks to the Walkman application and a massive 4GB of storage space, but no camera or Wi-Fi and a poor keypad detract from the package.
