The Samsung A501 is a solid, but far from outstanding HSDPA-capable phone. While its compact size may be an advantage, outdated specifications in key areas mean that the A501 isn't able to fully immerse you in the Next G experience as it should.

Although the MOTORAZR V3xx doesn't offer anything new or innovative, and is still based on a design more than two years old, it remains a solid and stylish HSDPA phone.

The Z310i is a solid, if not remarkable phone. If you are on a budget, it may be worth a look but the lack of memory and a poor display diminish its appeal.

The X680 is an ideal phone for the budget conscious consumer. It's well built, has Bluetooth and MP3 capabilities, and also features an attractive design.

The RAZR is back again, but based on a design more than two years old, the V3 (RED) is understandably a very simple mobile phone. It works well without offering any outstanding features.

Adding HSDPA capability, attractive new colour schemes and improved speeds for both messaging and menu navigation, the MOTOKRZR K3 has managed to improve what already was an excellent handset.

The N76 is an attractive multimedia phone with a fair features list, but a few issues in design prevent it from being great.

The MOTORAZR2 V9 has undergone a complete overhaul and there is plenty to like about the changes, particularly the stunning external display.

Although it has some design issues, the F256 should appeal to those who are on a budget, but still want access to the BigPond range of services through the high-speed Next G network.

The A711 delivers faster speeds over the Next G network and an improved menu system, making it a slight improvement over its predecessor.

The U300 is certainly a stylish looking handset, but it has too many faults to be recommended as a wise purchase.
