Samsung's Series 9 LA46A950 is the best LCD TV on the market. While not perfect, its flaws are negligible and it offers an incredible combination of deep blacks, rich colours, sharp images and great motion, along with a host of bonus features, making it the panel to watch out for this Christmas season.

The Panasonic VIERA TH-50PZ700A performed brilliantly with HD content and very well with SD and PC content. While the latter wasn't perfect, they were still usable, just not perfect. Anyone purchasing this unit will not be disappointed.

The Samsung SP67L6HX has very few peers that can match its quality and performance at this price point.

The Samsung PS50Q7HD delivers high-end image quality at a reasonable price. This is a great unit for High Definition and does a good job for Standard Definition.

The The Samsung LA46M81BD has so much potential, but it's hampered by its below-average gaming performance and some image problems when displaying HD movies.

The 42 inch NEC PX-42XR4W is a feature-packed plasma television with excellent customisation controls let down by mediocre image quality.
