The 42PF9966 offers very high overall picture quality at a relatively low price. But it would be more appealing with an HD tuner and an extra digital video input

For watching Blu-Ray, HD-DVD movies, or playing HD games consoles, the Samsung LA46F71BX performs quite well, although its DVD playback leaves a little to be desired.

The Fujitsu PlasmaVision P42XHA58EB is a great unit capable of delivering reasonable high definition images while also being able to convincingly display standard definition as well.

This is the best DLP rear projection we have reviewed thus far and we came away feeling very satisfied with both its performance and quality. Apart from the cool factor of owning a 62 inch TV, you should definitely consider this set, especially if you plan to view primarily HD content.

Sony's Bravia KDL-52X3100 is a fantastic high-definition television, capable of delivering some incredibly rich and stunning images. It does have one or two slight flaws, but its overall performance is excellent.

The 50PX5D isn't the best Plasma on the market and has its problems but the image quality isn't completely terrible from a reasonable viewing distance.

While fairly bulky, the 42PF9831 is an excellent panel with high performance in SD and HD.

The PX-42XR3W may offer too few amenities to satisfy many consumers. But its great image quality and low price make it a fine choice for people who want to hook up their set to an external HDTV tuner.
