This simple, inexpensive, and compact home printer is adequate for everyday printing tasks, but its print quality could be better.

The IP8500 prints photos very quickly, has a duplexer, and has cheaper-than-averages ink and paper costs. However, its limited direct-print features make it best suited for use hooked up to a PC.

Fast print speeds and a lot of features--including wireless capability--would make the IP4000R a good buy even if its printing costs weren't so low.

This unit has plenty of features and is intuitive to use. As a printer for the user who wants to print independently of a PC, it does quite well. However, its print quality in our tests was not as good across the board as competitive Epson and HP printers.

Excellent print results and reasonable running costs for a dye-sublimation printer mean this unit is hard to beat if you are after photo-lab quality prints.

Although the PIXMA's initial price is low, ink costs are steep. Overall this is a well-designed printer with high print quality, although our speed tests show it to be a good deal slower than Canon claims.

The Canon Selphy CP770 offers an excellent choice of connection and editing options and we couldn't fault it.

We would have liked some better connection options and the battery’s bulk may be annoying for some, but the iP100 is an excellent travel companion. The iP100 is a competitive option for meeting your portable printing needs.

Ease of use and low-cost consumables help give this printer an edge over the competition.

Good quality prints from digital images in a PictBridge-compliant device. Ink and paper are not the cheapest however.

The iP6700D is a good six-ink photo printer with a nice LCD and PC-less printing options. However, iP6600D owners don't need up upgrade unless the improved paper support or Canon-to-Canon feature is on their wish list.
