The HP Photosmart 475 is an attractive and portable unit that will more than suffice for someone looking for a solution to photo printing on the move.

As far as multifunction photo printers go, the RX650 is a great choice. It offers incredible print quality, bundled with a host of features and above average speed.

The HP Photosmart A716 is an attractive unit that will definitely appeal to someone who is looking at a home solution for reasonably cheap prints, but the black levels issues may deter those printing photos shot after dark.

The IP8500 prints photos very quickly, has a duplexer, and has cheaper-than-averages ink and paper costs. However, its limited direct-print features make it best suited for use hooked up to a PC.

If blistering print speed is crucial--particularly if you're looking to make regular use of the lower quality settings--you'll find this a stunning printer.

Combine the great print quality with any two of its standout features -- closed-loop calibration, sturdy construction, smartly designed software, broad media support, efficient ink life, archival print quality -- and you'd have a very good printer, indeed. But when you wrap them all up into the package that is the HP Photosmart Pro B9180, you have a great professional-quality photo printer that's priced around $1499.

The Epson Stylus Photo R2880 has emerged as the new standard for high quality photo reproduction. With a relatively low initial price point and decent consumable efficiency, the R2880 is a must-have for any semi-professional photographer looking to print their own photos at home.
