If you’re looking for a reasonably priced set of headphones that are unique and deliver excellent sound, the Philips Extra Comfort are highly recommended.

A typically high quality product from Sennheiser, the PXC250 headphones offer a good alternative to products from Bose if you're looking for something a little cheaper. The audio quality is impressive although it doesn't quite beat what's produced by some top tier IEM manufacturers.

Creative’s EP-830 in-ear headphones are a great option if you need decent sound quality as well as noise isolation. The headphone cable can cause a bit of discomfort if it's not secured, but these are decent quality in-ear buds.

Philips' SHE9850 headphones are another strong entry into the mid-range IEM space. Their bass could be a little punchier and more controlled, but for the price these IEMs offer a clear, smooth and well-balanced sound.

Philips' SHE9700 offers a good option for people looking to try their first IEM. While audiophiles won't be impressed, less discerning listeners will appreciate the small comfortable design and good quality audio.

If you're looking for a cheap but effective alternative to your stock MP3 player ear buds, then Sennheiser's MX series offers a lot of good choices. They don't provide the best quality audio around, but they are a noticeable improvement over default iPod ear buds.

Bordering on the entry-level, the Shure E3c make a great choice for solid, all around sound.
