The Sidekick 2008 isn't a bad phone — not at all. In fact, I wrote this entire review on its perfect little keyboard (in the body of an e-mail message, of course, since the phone doesn't support Word documents). It's just disappointing that after all these generations on the market, the Sidekick has been relegated to fashionista status.

If you want to love this much-hyped gadget, you'll find plenty to drool over. The iPhone is expensive and comes with some major drawbacks, but it's hard to be patient once you've seen one - the future of mobile devices is here and it's called an iPhone.

For those that don't need 3G or the Pocket Office applications you get with a Windows Mobile 6.0 device then the BlackBerry 8820 is a clear and highly desirable choice.

The Bold is by far the best BlackBerry yet and has very few flaws. A refreshing new interface, outstanding display and reasonable multimedia features are just some of what it has to offer. Most importantly, this superb device is great for both enterprise users and regular consumers.

The iPhone 3G improves on its predecessor, refining its strengths and eliminating some of its flaws. On the way, however, it picked up a few more flaws. Exchange and MobileMe support are appealing, but poor battery life and substandard GPS implementation will deter some people.

The HTC Dream build quality is okay, and you need to be very wary of the dataplan small print, but Google Android and its myriad apps make the T-Mobile G1 a winner.
