SanDisk Sansa c150

The SanDisk Sansa c150 is a small music player aimed at the budget market. With 2GB of storage, a colour screen and support for viewing photos, it offers reasonable value for money.

Compact with a black and silver finish, the c150 is slightly larger than a USB flash drive, and this is because of the AAA battery compartment at the back. Weighing a tiny 46 grams with battery, the c150 sports a colour screen and easy to use control set, but the player itself doesn't feel solidly constructed.

The FM radio settings are fairly standard on the c150, with the option of saving up to 20 presets. We had no issues either picking up or saving stations. You can also record FM radio, but these recordings are of very low quality and once again, we could find any customization options to change this. Voice Recording had similar issues - files are recorded into very low quality WAV files and there was no way to change this. Given the amount of storage space available on this player, support for higher quality recordings should not have been a problem.

Using the c150, you can also view photos, although we think the screen is too small to do this practically. Although the manual states that you have to convert image files using the SanDisk Media Converter software, we were able to simply drag and drop photos and these worked without any hassles. You can also view a slideshow on the c150 and set the duration that each photo is displayed.
