While it's not at the top end of the latest Centrino Duo notebooks, it is a good performer and is well designed.

The new Dell Inspiron is a very nice choice if you're after a powerful and stylish notebook. We were impressed by just about every aspect of its performance and the new look gives it a touch of flare to boot.

There's little or nothing to complain about with this notebook. It's got power, long battery life and plenty of functionality.

With its ultra low voltage CPU the C1 Express Dual offers little in the way of power, but is extremely portable with some good hybrid notebook and tablet features.

While it's a fairly stylish notebook with a nice build, we can't help but think that you can get more for your money. If you like the design, but want a better performer, it might be worth waiting for Compaq's new Centrino models to come out.

As a stand alone machine, the Acer Aspire 5920G is a great machine with plenty of power for the average user, and enough for power users to get by. By comparison to Acer's previous models it's an excellent unit with plenty of good improvements.

An excellent display and reasonably good battery life make the BenQ Joybook R55VU a decent option for those after a media notebook, but do note that its performance indicates it isn't up to more demanding tasks.

Although there are flaws to be dealt with, the Pavilion dv2308TX still offers some nice features, and at this price we have little reason to complain.

The Toshiba Satellite P200 is a solid workhorse of a machine with plenty of processing power under the hood. While it suits as an all-purpose desktop replacement model, hardcore gamers will be left hamstrung by its average GPU.

For style and performance in a business machine, the LG E500 is a great option. It scored well in our benchmarks, including the battery test and includes some useful features.

This is already a very cool machine, with plenty of power and functionality. Now with the added HD-DVD-R drive it's even better.
