There's not a whole lot more to the HP Pavilion Special Edition, but the small perks and unique design easily match, if not outweigh the slight price hike.

Sony's VAIO FZ17G is a great multimedia notebook which offers a HDMI output and couples it with solid performance and a nice array of features.

A solid notebook, the HP Compaq Presario B1200 isn't a powerhouse machine, but it does come with an array of strong features and a smooth design that makes it a reasonable choice.

The ASUS G2S is a solid and powerful gaming solution for gamers on the road. The included backpack is an excellent carry bag and the gaming mouse is a nice addition. The move towards HDMI and e-SATA is promising.

There's a definite premium for all of this desktop functionality in a portable, notebook style machine. However, if you're willing to spend the money and need a less fixed computing solution, the HP Pavilion HDX9003TX is a great choice.

The A4 size is comfortable to use and the notebook mode is great for doing those tasks that need more than a pen can offer. It's not a powerful machine, but its battery life will keep you going for a while.

We like the steps BenQ has taken with its new range, including the HDMI port and a solid component base. We do feel that more could have been added to enhance the media aspect of this powerful machine, but otherwise it's a pleasure to use.

The Fujitsu Q2010 is an ideal mobile tool with a lightweight design and integrated 3G making it great for use on the road. It lacks grunt but should be more than enough for office applications and keeping intouch with colleagues.

With a simple, but thoughtful feature set, a solid build and a classy design there's little to complain about. While the CR13G/B isn't the top of the game, it is a very nice notebook.

We like the new look and it's a reasonable performer, but we were disappointed by the speakers and the poor viewing angle on the screen. Ultimately this notebook is pleasant to use, but leaves you wondering what more it could have offered.
