If you want an all-in-one home theatre that's simple to set up, the SC-BT105 is the pick of the bunch. It can handle your iPod's music, video or photo collection as well as playing standard- and high-definition content through the built-in Blu-ray drive. It may not be as well put together as a 'proper' enthusiast home theatre setup, but for most users it'll be more than adequate.

If you want a convenient way to stream a large music collection from your PC to up to two rooms in the house, Sonos' 130 Bundle can't be overlooked. It doesn't have a USB port, so it can't play music off a directly-attached external hard drive, for example; its sound quality is a little flat, the ZonePlayers don't have headphone jacks and its controller doesn't scroll long song titles -- but apart from those quibbles, it's bloody close to being perfect

If you can put up with the terrible remote and a slightly longer than normal setup, the HS 500 is a great home theatre system. Its price means it won't be within everybody's budget, but those after high quality audio will not be disappointed with this product.

A very well designed Blu-ray player, the BDP-LX70's biggest drawback is its price. If you're willing to pay the extra for its media streaming capabilities, then it's well-worth the investment.
