A great, although expensive mid range speaker and receiver package that excels when it comes to watching movies.

If you can afford it, the Panasonic DMR-BW500 is a wonderful addition to any high definition home entertainment setup. It offers dual HD tuners, a 500GB hard disk and Blu-ray writing capabilities making it a perfect all purpose device.

Exacting build quality and retro styling make the A-S2000 feel like a vintage model from the 1970s. Everything internal is nice and modern, however, resulting in a clean analytical sound that's able to be pushed to incredibly (and we mean incredibly) loud volumes without the slightest hint of distortion. Just don't try to move it around without a pal.

A fantastic effort from Marantz. It has excellent features and reasonable power in a small package.

Expensive for a streaming audio system, but has unique features and an elegant design lacking in other systems.

We like the new form factor, we like the Blu-ray player and we like the HDMI output, but the external USB TV-tuner should really be an internal device. That aside, the TP2G is a good performer and has a reasonable amount of space on board for media enthusiasts.
