Office users searching for a bargain should snap this up. The PIXMA MP180's text output is excellent for the price, and scan facilities aren't bad either. However, if you're after graphics output that takes the breath away, look elsewhere.

Good quality prints from digital images in a PictBridge-compliant device. Ink and paper are not the cheapest however.

The performance of this sub-$1000 colour laser printer is fast and we're happy with its ease of use and installation. Its colours could have been a little more vibrant, but its overall print quality was impressive. Consider this model if you want a fast printer for a small workgroup environment.

The Dell isn't cheap, but its running costs are among the lowest available. Add strong output, some heavyweight specifications (with options that'll beef it up considerably) and network support as standard, and you have an excellent colour laser that should go down extremely well with small and medium-sized businesses.

The 2605dtn prints a little slowly, but the quality is excellent and we like its features. It's also very easy to maintain, so if you're looking for a decent colour laser for the office, this one is well worth checking out.

The iP6700D is a good six-ink photo printer with a nice LCD and PC-less printing options. However, iP6600D owners don't need up upgrade unless the improved paper support or Canon-to-Canon feature is on their wish list.

The X2470 is cheap on paper, but its running costs will stack up in the long run. Add to this the average speed and final quality that fails to match that of similar models and you have an MFD that may struggle to establish itself.

The MFC-8860DN is a jack of all trades and has a number of excellent features - above all it is capable of almost anything including printing, scanning, faxing and copying.

The Sony Picture Station DPP-FP55 produces reasonable quality prints at a low cost per print making it a wise choice and value buy.

The FS-1030D comes well recommended with above average print speeds and quality. Its compact size means it's especially ideal for those with minimal office space.

With low ongoing running costs and excellent print speeds, the FS-2000D is definitely an ideal printer for small businesses and workgroups.

The Photo Easy 260 is a commendable entry into the photo printer market but needs a little work to knock out the competition.
