iiNet is celebrating the popularity of its Naked DSL broadband services by boosting the quotas on a range of Naked DSL and ADSL2+ broadband plans at no extra cost to customers.

"Basically we've jacked all the quotas up," said iiNet COO Mark White.

"For our Naked plans we've increased quotas by 30 to 50 percent across the board, and with ADSL2+ we've just about doubled the quotas across the board."

iiNet's most popular Naked DSL plan "Naked 2" jumps from 9GB to 16GB, "Naked 3" will jump from 30GB to 35GB, and "Naked 4" increases from 45GB to 60GB. "Naked 5" jumps from 90GB to 100GB, and "Naked 6" remains unchanged.

iiNet's ADSL2+ Home bundles - LSS services which require a phone line - have also increased: "Home 1" has jumped from 6GB to 10GB, "Home 3" from 21GB to 30GB, "Home 4" from 30GB to 45GB, "Home 5" from 60GB to 65GB, while "Home 6" and "Home 7" remain unchanged.

White said the increase in quotas comes off the back of Naked DSL's successful adoption by iiNet customers, with Naked revenues representing 50 percent of iiNet sales.

"What we didn't expect was how quickly it's gone out into the early majority and the general marketplace, to the point now where we've got nearly 25,000 of our customers on Naked DSL, which is amazing," he said.

White said that 95 percent of new iiNet customers are doing away with their analogue telephones and monthly line rental fees by signing up to Naked DSL. Customers can still keep their existing phone number when switching to a Naked DSL service.

iiNet claims Naked DSL can save customers between $20-40 a month on their wired broadband bundles.

The success of Naked DSL in Sydney and Perth has lead the company to now focus on actively marketing the product in Queensland.

"We're looking forward to seeing how Queenslanders respond to it."
