Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

In the course of reviewing Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the third instalment in the popular franchise, I took some time to reflect on what makes this particular series so popular.

GoldenEye 007

Games based on movies are crap. When you broach this subject with a group of gamers, you'd probably incur eager nods of emphatic agreement. But then somebody will always ruin the moment with: "But what about GoldenEye 007 on the N64?"

Fallout: New Vegas

As the saying goes, “It’s the little things that count” and Fallout: New Vegas has certainly taken this to heart.

Q&A with Fable III's Louise Murray

In the past Lionhead Studio's CEO, Peter Molyneux, has sometimes hyped up features in games that don't make it into the final release. This was the case with the first Fable, leading Molyneux to publicly apologise to people who were disappointed with...

Why Portal is the best game of all time

I may not have a PhD in game reviewing, and I know some Zelda zealots will throw me a "Nah, Zelda Ocarina of Time is waaay l33t3r" line, but I'm just going to come out and say it: Portal is the best game ever made.

Nat Geo Quiz! Wild Life

Many of my friends groaned when I sheepishly suggested playing the Nat Geo Quiz! Wild Life game. In the end, after much nagging, one gave in and I quickly popped the game on before he changed his mind.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

Windows 10 / Lenovo Yoga 910

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
