Stop pouting: Google’s Santa Tracker is updated just in time for the Christmas countdown

In the Play Store there's a feeling of Christmas.

It’s that time of year again: Halls are being decked, lights are being strung and Google is updating its Santa Tracker. And you don’t have to be on the nice list to get in on the fun: Just head over to Google Play and download the new version.

Along with a redesigned Christmas village, updates for Android Wear smartwatches and Android TV support, the new app will keep kids of all ages entertained all throughout December. While you wait for the big night (when the Santa tracker unlocks), you can find all sorts of goodies in this year’s app. In addition to the usual crop of mini games and videos, this year’s app includes the Pokemon Go-inspired Present Quest, an AR game that encourages you to walk around your neighborhood and collect virtual presents to bring back to Santa’s workshop.

The impact on you: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, so go get your shopping done! And while you do it, keep the kids entertained with Santa Tracker.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
