Free Vodafone calls ring in Chinese New Year

No cost international calls for four days to eight countries

Free international calls can be made on the Vodafone network to countries celebrating the Chinese New Year.

The no cost calls start at 12am on 19 February until 11:59pm on 22 February, 2015. International calls can be made during the four days to China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

The offer is only available to Vodafone postpaid customers.

The telco claims more than 40 per cent of its customers were born overseas, and that Its network hosted more than 16 million international calls last month alone.

Vodafone is the third largest telco in Australia, behind Telstra and then Optus, though it leverages its international networks by discounting overseas calls and roaming in a bid to compete.

The telco is the second largest in the world and lets its postpaid customers use their plan inclusions in 47 countries by paying only $5 a day.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
