Vodafone is offering its customers unlimited international calls in the coming weekend to celebrate its 21st birthday in Australia.

Postpaid and prepaid Vodafone customers will be able to call 10 overseas locations from 12.01am on Saturday 18 October, to 11.59pm on Sunday 19 October.

Calls can be made to landlines or mobiles in China, India, USA, UK, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and South Korea.

“On behalf of Vodafone, I would like to thank our customers for their loyalty. We have many customers who have been with us for the majority of our 21 years in Australia,” said chief executive Iñaki Berroeta.

“Because so many of us have friends and family living and travelling overseas, we thought this was a great way to celebrate by doing what Vodafone does best – connecting people.”

Vodafone built its first mobile tower in Australia in 1993. The telco has since invested “around $13 billion” in growing the company to Australia’s third largest mobile carrier.

The telco employs 3,500 people in Australia, and is the second largest private employer in Tasmania. The company plans on doubling its 1,000 large Tasmanian contact centre following an announcement made last year.

Vodafone Australia is part of the Vodafone Group, the second largest mobile telecommunications operator with 434 million customers worldwide.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
