Vodafone opens $5 daily international roaming to businesses

Service open to Red business customers

Vodafone Australia is extending the availability of its $5 per day international roaming offer to the small and medium business (SMB) sector.

The telecommunications provider first launched the roaming service to consumers in July 2013 on the back of deals with partner carriers in the UK, NZ, and the US. It was then expanded to Europe in October and Asia in January this year.

The push to businesses will allow SMBs to use existing Vodafone Red Business Shared Plans as usual in 46 countries for a fee of $5 per day.

“SMEs are increasingly moving away from expensive cable and fixed wireless connections, which makes sense as typically, telecommunications is among the highest operational costs for a SME, after premises and staffing,” Vodafone Australia director of sales, Ben McIntosh, said.

According to the Vodafone, the number of business trips taken overseas has increase by 59 per cent over the past decade.

“Vodafone’s business customers have told us very clearly what they need from us is the ability to travel to do business without having to worry about a rogue bill coming in from a short business trip overseas.”

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
