Avnet strikes Australian distribution agreement with ASUS

Avnet will distribute ASUS motherboards and graphics cards in new deal

Avnet Technology Solutions has struck an agreement with Asus to distribute the firm's motherboard and graphics card products in Australia.

Under the terms of the agreement Avnet Global Computing Components (AVGC), an international business unit within Avnet, will market and distribute the components.

It will also support ASUS by providing a consistent brand and sales approach and go-to-market strategy that leverages Avnet's expertise and global scales, according to a joint company statement.

Under the deal, It will oversee a variety of Intel, AMD and NVIDIA-based components.

AVGC senior director, Asia-Pacific, Mohit Jain, said it welcomes the opportunity to work with ASUS in Australia.

"Being able to distribute the ASUS range of motherboard and graphics card products in Australia, Avnet will ensure that we link our business partners to the right ASUS solutions so end-user customers will experience the ultimate in customer choice and satisfaction," he said.

"Avnet is proud of the partnership we have with ASUS and looks forward to extending the relationship into new markets.”

ASUS Australian managing director, Mia Tsai, said the companies had formed a likely partnership which focused on the distribution of motherboards and graphics card products.

"Avnet understands the Australian market and we look forward to seeing ASUS grow through acceleration of time to market and gaining a competitive advantage.”

Avnet serves customers and suppliers in North America, Latin America and Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, and Europe, Middle East and Africa. It generated $US10.36 billion in annual revenue for fiscal year 2013.
