Nokia ad hints at another new Lumina phone with aluminum body, super duper camera

A mysterious ad teases an aluminum bodied Lumina phone, possibly with a camera that out specs the Nokia 808's 41 megapixel super camera.

Fresh off the unveiling of the Lumia 928, it looks like Nokia may have one more surprise waiting. This past Sunday, Nokia ran this spot on British TV in anticipation of the Lumina event to be held in London on May 14.

While providing scant details, the mysterious ad shows a metal-encased Nokia Lumina phone that will deliver "more than your eyes can see." Nokia has already released images and specs of the 928, and it's not a metal encased phone. So, this is something different.

The short ad spot seems to show a bump on the back of the phone, similar to that of the Nokia 808 PureView and its camelback super camera. The 808 boasts a 41 megapixel (!) sensor with a 7728 x 4354 pixel resolution, which far out-specs the still respectable Lumina 928's 8.7 megapixel camera with a 3624 x 2448 camera resolution.

This mysterious metal phone may be the Lumina-branded incarnation of Nokia's rumored "EOS phone," which the mobile rumor mill hinted would be an aluminum-encased phone with camera specs outshining the beefy-beyond-beefy 808.

We should find out more details tomorrow after Nokia's phone event. Damn you, Nokia for getting me kinda sorta excited about a friggin'Windows phone.

LIFEBOOK UH574

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

STYLISTIC Q702

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
