If you're someone who doesn't like waiting, you can forget about Google's staggered roll out and download and install the new Play Store app yourself.

This is a very simple and easy process, but you'll need to do a couple of steps first.

Step 1:

On your Android phone or tablet, navigate to Settings > Security > Unknown sources. Make sure the box in this setting is checked. This allows you to install apps from unknown sources.

You may want to uncheck this box once you've installed the new Google Play app.

Step 2:

Using your phone or tablet browser, navigate to this link. Tap the green download button. It should be a 5.9MB file, as shown below.

None

Step 3:

Once the download is complete, simply tap on the downloaded file in the notifications panel on your smartphone or tablet and the app should install as a regular app.

Hit OK and the new Google Play app will be installed. You now have the latest version.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
