Willem Dafoe to star in Beyond: Two Souls alongside Ellen Page

Famed Hollywood actor to be featured in psychological action thriller

Willem Dafoe, star of movies such as Spider-man and Auto Focus, will be starring in Beyond: Two Souls, the latest title from developer Quantic Dream.

Dafoe will be starring alongside Ellen Page, who appeared in films such as Juno and Super.

Page has the lead role of Jodie Holmes, a woman who possesses supernatural powers through her link to an invisible entity.

The supporting role of Nathan Dawkins, an enigmatic scientist working for a government division studying paranormal activities, will be played by Dafoe.

A central theme in Beyond: Two Souls is Dawkins’ professional curiosity in Jodie, driven by personal tragedy.

Quantic Dream writer and director, David Cage, said the subtleties of Dafoe’s performance are capable of fully realising the game’s “rich and evocative narrative.”

“Ellen and Willem were cast for their immense talent and they bring with them the same passion and dedication you would see in the movies they star in,” he said.

“Never before have I seen this calibre of acting performance in a video game.”

This is not the first time Quantic Dream has featured renowned talent, with the studio’s breakout hit, 1999’s Omikron: The Nomad Soul, being notable for its inclusion of the digital likeness of David Bowie.
