Samsung Galaxy S4 to get wireless charging

Wireless charging is latest Galaxy S4 rumour

Samsung's highly anticipated Galaxy S4 smartphone will apparently feature wireless charging.

The Korean tech giant will supposedly be making a wireless charging cover for the Galaxy S4smartphone and a wireless charging dock, according to DDaily. Both will be sold separately to the handset itself when it launches. See also: Samsung Galaxy S4 release date, specs and rumours

It seems likely that wireless charging will be a selling point of the next Galaxy smartphone since we've already seen it in devices like the Nokia Lumia 920 and HTC Windows Phone 8X.

The Galaxy S4 will use the Qi wireless charging standard meaning that users can buy third party docking stations rather than only Samsung's own.

However, DDaily also reports that Samsung was looking into an alternative method of advanced wireless charging technology called resonant magnetic coupling. According to SamMobile this would mean the Galaxy S4 could be charged from up to two meters away.

Unfortunately this ground breaking method was too difficult to bring to market at an affordable price so won't be used just yet.

Rumoured specifications for the yet to be announced Galaxy S4 include anExynos 5 Octa 8-core processor, 4.9in Full HD screen and a 13Mp camera. It will run the latest version of Android, 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.

STYLISTIC Q702

My first impression after unboxing the Q702 is that it is a nice looking unit. Styling is somewhat minimalist but very effective. The tablet part, once detached, has a nice weight, and no buttons or switches are located in awkward or intrusive positions.
