Apple releases iOS 6.1 beta 3 to developers

The new beta comes three weeks after its predecessor

Apple has begun seeding iOS 6.1 beta 3 to developers this week, with bug fixes and improvements.

The changes from iOS 6.0.1 in the new beta include new ways for developers to integrate Apple's Maps into their apps, as well as Passbook improvements and changes to Safari.

Also noted by Apple Insider is the addition of iCloud security questions, which were not in the previous two iOS 6.1 betas.

The beta is build number 10B5117b, and follows the 10B5105c iOS 6.1 beta that was released three weeks ago. It's available for the second, third and fourth generation iPad, the iPad mini, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and the fifth-and fourth-generation iPod touch.

The Fujitsu LifeBook UH574 allowed for great mobility without being obnoxiously heavy or clunky. Its twelve hours of battery life did not disappoint.

The screen was particularly good. It is bright and visible from most angles, however heat is an issue, particularly around the Windows button on the front, and on the back where the battery housing is located.
