Microsoft will offer a two-year warranty with its upcoming Surface RT tablet, it has been revealed.
The company announced Australian pricing for the Surface RT tablet this morning and promised to deliver pre-orders of the device by Tuesday 6 November.
Microsoft has set up a dedicated Australian pre-order page where it details a two-year hardware warranty for the device.
"Surface comes with a guaranteed two-year limited warranty," reads the pre-order page. "The hardware warranty for this product is only valid in the countries listed in the warranty."

However, Microsoft says the Surface RT warranty may be voided if the tablet purchased is shipped to use in countries not listed in the warranty.
"Shipping the product to or use in countries not listed in the warranty may void the warranty and your product may not be eligible for in warranty or paid warranty service," reads the warranty details page. "Please read the hardware warranty and support details carefully before you purchase this product."
In addition to the two-year hardware warranty, Microsoft also includes 90 days of free tech support with any Surface purchase.
Microsoft says the Surface RT can be pre-ordered in "a special limited quantity", though the company refused to reveal how much pre-order stock will be available in Australia.
The Surface RT tablet will officially launch next Friday 26 October.
