LG Optimus G Nexus to be revealed on 29 October

Nexus launch date will clash with Windows Phone 8

Google and LG will reportedly unveil the Optimus G Nexus smartphone on 29 October.

The next Google Nexus smartphone will be announced on 29 October with a release date of December in France, according to Le Figaro. The handset is currently known as the LG Optimus G Nexus or LG Nexus 4.

"Nexus 4 will be launched on October 29, told Le Figaro. In France, it will be marketed in early December. It might help LG to boost its sales." said Le Figaro.

The launch date coincides with Microsoft's launch of Windows Phone 8. Read: Group test: what's the best smartphone?

The move means that Google is doing the rounds for the Nexus smartphone after partnering with Samsung for the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S, and HTC for the Nexus One. Google joined forces with Asus to make the Nexus 7 tablet.

Rumoured specifications for the LG Optimus G Nexus, or Nexus 4, include a Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 1280 x 768 True-HD IPS screen, an 8Mp camera and 8GB or 16GB of internal storage. Like the previous Nexus device, there will apparently be no microSD card for expansion.

Rather than introducing an entirely new version of Android, the Nexus 4 will bring an incremental update to Jelly Bean, version 4.2.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

A smarter way to print for busy small business owners, combining speedy printing with scanning and copying, making it easier to produce high quality documents and images at a touch of a button.

HP OfficeJet Pro 8730

I've had a multifunction printer in the office going on 10 years now. It was a neat bit of kit back in the day -- print, copy, scan, fax -- when printing over WiFi felt a bit like magic. It’s seen better days though and an upgrade’s well overdue. This HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 looks like it ticks all the same boxes: print, copy, scan, and fax. (Really? Does anyone fax anything any more? I guess it's good to know the facility’s there, just in case.) Printing over WiFi is more-or- less standard these days.

I’d happily recommend this touchscreen laptop and Windows 10 as a great way to get serious work done at a desk or on the road.

Windows 10 / HP Spectre x360

Ultimately, I think the Windows 10 environment is excellent for me as it caters for so many different uses. The inclusion of the Xbox app is also great for when you need some downtime too!

Windows 10 / Lenovo Yoga 910

For me, the Xbox Play Anywhere is a great new feature as it allows you to play your current Xbox games with higher resolutions and better graphics without forking out extra cash for another copy. Although available titles are still scarce, but I’m sure it will grow in time.
