In the past few days, we've seen two new and very exciting entrants into the middle of the digital SLR market. Canon's EOS 6D sits between the 7D and 5D Mark III in the company's line-up, while the Nikon D600 is a step up from the D7000 and a step down from the D800.

It's a very close match. The D600 pulls ahead on shooting speed, autofocus, shutter life, storage, resolution, and viewfinder coverage. The EOS 6D is clearly superior in built-in connectivity, weight, ISO range (both native and extended) and in overall approximate price.
