So your company just snapped up your aging BlackBerry and handed you an Android phone. Or you got fed up with Apple (it happens) and decided to switch platforms.
Whatever the case, if you're new to Android -- specifically Android 4.0 -- you may find yourself battling a learning curve that's interfering with your productivity.
Thankfully, there's fast and effective help to be found in the form of the Android 4.0 cheat sheet.
This handy reference guide covers all aspects of the operating system, from system navigation to app management to security.
Within each section, you'll find a function ("Customize ringtones, notification sounds and volume levels," for example), a corresponding icon to look for (where applicable), and a brief description of how to perform that function.
Want a printer-friendly version of the guide? Scroll to the bottom of the first page (just before the comments section) and you'll find a tiny Print link.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find a good way to make the cheat sheet mobile -- that is, to make it easily viewable on your actual smartphone. My preferred Web-clipping service, Pocket, grabbed only the introduction.
Even so, as someone who finds Android 4.0 rather unintuitive, I found the cheat sheet extremely useful. It covers a ton of important functions with at-a-glance efficiency, meaning I can spend less time reading and more time working. Gotta love that.
