ASUS Zenbook UX32VD Ultrabook to feature NVIDIA graphics, Ivy Bridge CPU

The Zenbook gets beefed up graphics performance along with Hybrid storage

Hot on the heels of the company's Zenbook Prime announcement, ASUS has also announced the Zenbook UX32VD Ultrabook.

The UX32VD is a 13.3in Ultrabook with a third generation Intel Core CPU (formerly codenamed Ivy Bridge), and the distinction between this product and the Zenbook Prime models is in the graphics department: the UX32VD will feature an NVIDIA GeForce GT 620M graphics adapter with 1GB of dedicated RAM, which brings a little more 3D processing power to the fore than Intel's integrated HD 4000 graphics.

Like the Zenbook Prime models, the UX32VD will have an option for a 1920x1080-resolution IPS panel, which can deliver a brightness of 350cd/m2. The standard screen that will ship the UX32VD will have only a 1280x720 resolution. A hybrid storage solution will also be part of the configuration, featuring a hard drive up to 500GB in capacity, along with a 32GB solid state drive for accelerating common tasks.

No word yet as to when the Zenbook UX32VD will be available to buy in Australia.
