Amazon increases Kindle Fire orders again

Amazon has increased its order for Kindle Fire units for a second time, according to sources in the company's supply chain.
Digitimes reports that strong pre-orders have led Amazon to ask that five million units be supplied before the end of the year, the sources said.
Amazon's original order was for 3.5 million units but this was revised up to four million in the middle of the third quarter, according to the report.
Amazon boss Jeff Bezos said late last month that the company is "increasing capacity and building millions more than we'd already planned."
The Kindle Fire launches in the US next week, though no international launch plans have been announced. Analysts don't believe that it will pose any threat to the iPad's dominance of the tablet market, though some more recent (and arguably flawed) research suggests that Amazon could eat into Apple's market share.
Analyst firm Canalys firmly believes that the iPad is the driving force in resurgent global PC sales, though did predict that Amazon would sell two million Kindle Fires in the fourth quarter.
