Nikon 1 Australian pricing and release date announced

The Nikon 1 V1 with 10-30mm and 30-110mm twin lens kit.
Nikon Australia has announced the recommended retail prices for its Nikon 1 mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera system.
Different varieties of the Nikon 1 will be available Australia-wide on October 20. Nikon Australia has said that three kits will be sold:
Nikon 1 J1, with 10mm f/2.8 prime lens kit: $899 RRP
Nikon 1 J1, with 10-30mm and 30-110mm twin zoom lens kit: $1099 RRP
Nikon 1 V1, with 10-30mm and 30-110mm twin zoom lens kit: $1399 RRP
However, it is not clear yet whether any single zoom lens kits (with the 10-30mm 'standard' zoom lens) will be available for either the Nikon 1 J1 or V1, or whether the Nikon 1 V1 will be sold in a bundle with the 10mm f/2.8 prime lens. Similarly, no pricing has been announced for a body-only package — it is not known whether this will be offered. No pricing for Nikon's super-zoom 10-100mm lens was included with Nikon's release today.
Nikon's current announcement forces consumers to buy either a single prime lens with the entry level J1 — confusing when prime lenses are generally considered less versatile and beginner-friendly than zoom lenses — or a comparatively expensive twin lens kit. Confusingly, there is no prime lens kit offered with the enthusiast-grade V1, only the expensive twin lens option.
Representatives of Nikon Australia did not respond to a request for clarification by the time of publication.
