The Garmin Forerunner 610 has a weather-proof touch-screen that can withstand rain, sweat and splashes, and also comes equipped with vibration alerts. The Garmin Forerunner 610 also allows users to race against their previous best times using data stored on the watch
The Garmin Forerunner 610 also has the ability to upload and analyse workout data through the Garmin Connect service. Garmin Connect enables users to log workouts, track totals, set goals, share workouts with other users and participate in the Garmin Connect online fitness community. The service displays metrics including time, distance, pace, elevation and heart rate in a variety of graphic representations.
"The Forerunner 610 is more than just a running watch, it's a training partner", said Ian Edwards, national sales manager Garmin Australasia. "With innovative features, including vibration alerts, training effect, run/walk training and our very own Garmin Connect, the Forerunner 610 will help you make the most of your workout every time."
The Garmin Forerunner 610 will be available in Australia in May 2011, but pricing is yet to be announced.
