Apple's iPad 2 is predictably in high demand

Apple's iPad 2 may have only been available for order online this morning, but you'll already be waiting up to a month for the second-generation tablet — Apple's Australian store already shows a shipping date of three to four weeks.

Read our comprehensive iPad review and our iPad 2 preview, and check out our iPad 2 resource centre for all you need to know about Apple's latest tablet.

The iPad 2 may be launching at 5pm today in stores, but unless you're already lining up, chances are you've missed the boat. A second option is online ordering, but this will also come with a hefty waiting time. As the image above shows from Apple's online store, all six models of the iPad 2 will ship between three and four weeks from now — meaning it will be more than a month before you'll get your hands on one.

The iPad 2 starts at $579 for the entry level 16GB Wi-Fi version.
