Motorola's Xoom Android tablet
Motorola's highly anticipated Xoom Android tablet finally has a launch date and pricing details (at least in the US), with the much hyped tablet hitting the shelves on 24 February for US$799.
The Motorola Xoom's price and launch details have all but been confirmed after tech blog Engadget published an advertisement from US store Best Buy revealing the details.
The Motorola Xoom tablet is equipped with a 10.1in touchscreen, and runs the latest version of Google's Android platform: 3.0 or 'Honeycomb'. The device also has dual cameras, a HDMI out port, 32GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot and is the first of many tablets running Android 3.0 that will compete with the Apple iPad.
Motorola hasn't announced any pricing or launch details for Australia, but the Xoom is expected to be available down under in the coming months. Watch this space.
